Ride-hailing behemoth Uber has announced the launch of its PREMIER service in Hyderabad and Vizag. Uber PREMIER is already live cities such as Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Lucknow and Delhi. The PREMIER service will come in select economy-range sedans, driven by best-in-class driver partners endorsed by riders.
“PREMIER has enhanced the core experience of ridesharing, one that’s as good as a rider’s personal car. We will continue to listen to our riders and driver partners and work towards making Uber a preferred choice of commute, ” said Shailesh Sawlani, General Manager-West, Uber India, reported Business Standard.
The new option will serve as an upgrade to the current uberX and offered to select riders as an in-app product. It targets users, especially who are looking to get the comfort of their private cars and reduce private car ownership.
Facilities under Uber PREMIER ride:
- Rides in select, high-comfort, economy-range sedans every time
- To be driven by best-in-class driver partners endorsed by riders, who have completed 1000+ lifetime trips
- Enhanced customer support for a superior post-ride experience
- Affordable, everyday fares
Uber currently provides services like uberMoto (a bike taxi option), uberPool (car sharing option), uberGo (economy class), uberX (sedan class), uberBlack (SUV and high-end cars), and uberHire (for day-long trips).
The world’s highest-valued startup has been working on several India specific innovations. The firm is building technologies that will ensure users to book a ride in India with low bandwidth connectivity or even without smartphones.
In October, the ride-hailing company announced the launch of two new products uberACCESS and uberASSIST in Bengaluru for differently-abled passengers. The services were launched in partnership with IT solutions provider Mphasis’ arm, Mphasis F1 Foundation, as a part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
