This week in Indian Startups funding news (Oct 16-21)

This week only nine startups received funding, out of which eight were disclosed, who in total made a sum of $74.09 million. Among them, BankBazaar raised the highest investment of $30 million, followed by RenewBuy which raised $9 million.

Meanwhile, one out of the total funded startups remained undisclosed.

RenewBuy: Gurugram-headquartered RenewBuy has raised Rs 60 crores ($9.2 million) in its second round of funding by the growth-stage investment firm Amicus Capital.

KrazyBee: Bengaluru-based microlending platform KrazyBee, primarily focused towards purchase finance, has raised $8 million in its Series-A round led by Chinese smartphone-maker Xiaomi Technologies and Shunwei Capital.

Fingerlix: Mumbai-based ready-to-cook (RTC) food brand Fingerlix has secured Rs 45 crore ($7 million) in its third round of funding from Accel Partners.

BankBazaar: Financial marketplace BankBazaar has raised $30 million from Experian, a UK-based credit rating agency and information management company in its Series-D round of funding.

BlackBuck: Online-logistics solution BlackBuck has raised Rs $7.69 million from InnoVen Capital, the venture debt arm of the Singapore Government’s sovereign fund Temasek, according to filings with the Registrar of Companies.

LenDen Club: Mumbai-based P2P (peer-to-peer) lending startup Lenden Club has raised Rs 3.5 crore($0.5 million) in equity investment from three major investors Venture Catalyst, Anirudh Damani, and an Indian venture capital fund.

Capital Small Finance Bank: Jalandhar-headquartered Capital Small Finance Bank has raised about $4 million from SIDBI (Small Industries Development Bank of India) and existing investors in its latest round of fund-raising.

Myntra: Flipkart-owned fashion e-tailer Myntra business-to-business (B2B) retail arm, Myntra Jabong India Pvt. Ltd has got a working capital credit of Rs 50 crore ($7.7 million) from Kotak Mahindra Bank.

Undisclosed deal this week:

Altigreen Propulsion Labs, which provides a unique value proposition in the high growth hybrid/electric vehicle sector of India, Asia, and other emerging economies, with a multi-billion dollar business opportunity did not disclose its funding amount.
