Digital Media firm ValueFirst has acquired Octane, a marketing technology firm based out of New Delhi. It was a cash-and-stock deal, however the amount involved in the deal remains undisclosed.
According to the company statement, Valuefirst will keep the Octane operations in a separate entity. It will utilize Octane team’s expertise in the emails and contextual marketing.
“Octane brings significant capabilities around its feature rich email platform as well as its professional services for ROI driven in-box delivery. Post-acquisition, ValueFirst intends to integrate Octane repertoire in its latest & industry leading cross channel communication platform Infinito – targeted towards forward-looking CMOs and CIOs” – said Vish Bajaj, CEO ValueFirst.

Punit Modhgil Co-founder of octane will continue in leadership team with ValueFirst post acquisition. Digvijay Bhandari and Samarth Saxena other two co-founders will move out and may implement some exciting ideas to setup new business ventures.
Since its inception in 2003, ValueFirst has acquired three more companies clk2c.com- mobile video advertising service, mGinger- a mobile advertising agency and Indyarocks.com- an online social networking site, before the latest deal with Octane.
