Funding in Indian startups this week (04 Nov-09 Nov)

This week 17 Indian startups raised funding, of which 14 received a total sum of about $205 million. Among them, Freshworks raised the highest funding of $150 million followed by Digifin, which raised $24 million.

Meanwhile, funding for 3 of the total funded startups remained undisclosed.

Below is the summary of deals closed this week:

Digifin: PayU co-founder Jitendra Gupta-led Digifin has raised $24 million from Matrix Partners, Sequoia Capital, Greyhound Capital, 3One4 Capital, Rocket Internet, BeeNext and Tanglin Venture Partners.

Gradeup: Freemium platform for test preparation, Gradeup, has raised a fresh round of $7 million from Times Internet.

Freshworks: SaaS platform Freshworks has raised $150 million from existing investors including Google, Sequoia and Accel Partners at a valuation of $3.5 billion.

VOGO: Dockless scooter rental startup VOGO has raised about $3 million in an ongoing Series C round from its existing investors Matrix Partners and Stellaris Venture Partners. The company would raise about $50-60 million in this round.

InCred: Consumer and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) focused digital lending app InCred has raised $4.4 million in its second round of debt financing.

PiggyRide: Transport service for kids, PiggyRide, has raised a little over $1 million in seed funding led by JAFCO Investment Asia Pacific.

Urban Ladder: Online furniture retailer Urban Ladder has received around $2 million from existing backers – SAIF Partners, Steadview Capital and Sequoia Capital.

Quartic.ai: California and Bengaluru-based industrial AI and IIoT software provider Quartic.ai has raised $5 million in a Series A round led by WRVI Capital.

Furlenco: Online furniture rental firm Furlenco has raised $0.35 million in debt funding from Sandeep Baid, Shakuntalam Holdings, and Ritona Vincom.

Rentomojo: Furniture, electronics, and appliance-centric consumer leasing platform Rentomojo has raised $0.14 million as non-convertible debentures (NCD’s) from Kamal Bhandari on private placement basis.

BeYouPlus: Skincare startup BeYouPlus has raised $3.2 million in funding led by IvyCap Ventures. Madison Capital and Singapore Angel Network also participated.

Lokal: Regional language focused news and classifieds startup, Lokal, has raised $3 million in a funding round from 3one4 Capital, Y Combinator, RB Investments, SOMA Capital and existing investor India Quotient.

PGO: Hostel and co-living booking platform Paying Guest Online (PGO), has raised $2 million from Sreeni Musani and Narsi Reddy.

ENpower: Entrepreneurship learning programmes provider for school children, ENpower has raised $0.37 million in a seed round of funding led by Nikhil Vora, founder and CEO of Sixth Sense Ventures.

Undisclosed deals this week

Women-focused microlender Mitrata, Podcast platform Kuku FM, and  peAR Technologies, did not disclose their financial details on funding.
