This week in Indian Startups funding news (15-20 Jan)

This week 11 startups received funding, out of which seven were disclosed, who in total made a sum of about $47 million. Among them, Razorpay raised the highest investment of $20 million, followed by ShareChat who raised $18.2 million.

Meanwhile, four out of the total funded startups remained undisclosed.

Below is the summary of deals closed this week:

Awign: Bengaluru-based Unitus Seed Fund has invested $0.78 million (Rs 5 crore) in Awign, which focuses on companies to outsource their business functions to a remote workforce, including student community across the country.

myGate: Bengaluru-based security management solution for residential societies myGate has raised $2.5 million (Rs 16 crore) from Prime Venture Partners.

ShareChat: Bengaluru-based local language social networking app ShareChat has secured $18.2 million in a Series B round led by Xiaomi. Existing investors SAIF Partners, Lightspeed Partners, India Quotient and Venture Highway also participated in the round.

Razorpay: Bengaluru-based digital payment solutions company Razorpay has raised $20 million in funding led by Tiger Global and Y Combinator in its series B round. The firm also saw participation from Matrix Partners.

Rubix: Pune-based edtech startup Rubix108 Technologies has secured $1 million (about Rs 6 crore) in a pre-Series A round led by Polaris Fund.

Streak: Bengaluru-based algorithmic trading platform Streak AI Technology Pvt. Ltd has raised $0.35 million (Rs 2.25 crore) in seed funding from Indian fintech fund and startup incubator Rainmatter.

KartRocket: Delhi-based e-commerce enabler KartRocket has raised $4.1 million (Rs 26.64 crore) in a fresh round of investment from existing investors.

Undisclosed deal this week:

Gurugram-based PeopleStrong HR Services, Bengaluru-based edtech startup CollPoll, IoT startup Faclon Labs, and  Gurugram-based CorporatEdge did not disclose their funding amount.
