This week in Indian Startups funding news (Oct 02-07)

This week 15 startups received funding, out of which 12 were disclosed, who in total made a sum of $2176.55 million. Among them, Ola raised the highest investment of $2 billion, followed by Ekart, which raised about $98 million.

Meanwhile, three out of the total funded startups remained undisclosed.

Farm Taaza has raised $8 million in series A round from Epsilon Venture Partners and Tara India Fund IV. Farm Taaza is a B2B startup which supplies products to retails shops, hotel, restaurant, and small firms.

Drivezy has raised $10 million from Das Capital, Axan Ventures, CrowdWorks, and IT-Farm. Drivezy is a Bengaluru-headquartered peer-to-peer car and bike sharing platform.

SlicePay has raised $2 million in series A round from Das Capital and Simile Venture Partners. Bengaluru-based fintech startup SlicePay enables college students to buy e-commerce products and services on monthly payment plans.

Oorjan Cleantech– Mumbai-based rooftop solar platform, Oorjan has raised $450,000 in seed funding led by Globevestor.

Yaantra has raised $3.1 million in bridge round from Carpediem Capital Partners & Duane Park. Yaantra sells refurbished multi-brand smartphones with warranty.

Gozefo has raised $9 Million in series B round from Sequoia Capital India, Helion Venture Partners and Beenext Pte. Ltd. A marketplace to sell and buy used goods, it currently serves two categories—appliances and furniture. Present in Bengaluru, Mysore, Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida and Mumbai.

CollPoll has raised $306k in seed round from Sprout Angels LLP and others. CollPoll runs a web and mobile-based platform that aims to bring all stakeholders in the education sector at one common place.

Little Black Book has raised $1 million from Blume Ventures, IDG Ventures, and Indian Angel Network. It is a Delhi-based Local recommendations startup for places, services and events curated city and lifestyle guide.

PhonePe– Flipkart’s UPI-based payment platform PhonePe has received $38.7 million in a fresh round of funding from its Singapore-based group entity Flipkart Payments Pvt. Ltd.

Ola– Bengaluru-based cab aggregator has raised $2 Billion in a fresh funding round from Chinese Internet giant, Tencent and Softbank Group Corp among other existing investors, according to a person familiar with the development.

YourStory Media has raised $6 million from UC-RNT Fund, Kalaari Capital, 3one4 Capital and Qualcomm Ventures. The company brings news & stories of entrepreneurs, funding analyses, resource pieces and a glimpse of emerging trends from India’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, as well as profiles of great businesses and entrepreneurs.

Ekart– Aiming to improve its product delivery, Flipkart-owned Ekart has raised $98 million funding from Klick2Shop. The investment has been done via its subsidiary Instakart Services Private Limited.

Undisclosed deals this week:

Bengaluru-based Elanic, an online platform that allows users to sell their used clothes online, Gurugram-headquartered Chqbook, a fintech startup and HomeCapital did not disclose their funding amount.
