Musical.ly

If your heart beats for music, it sounds good for you as Musical.ly, a social media app that lets people create their own music and comic videos, is going to entertain the Indian crowd in coming days.

The app allows users to create and edit videos by adding effects to them. The social media platform also has singers of International fame like Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez, Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, and Maroon 5.

Besides allowing users to share short videos of themselves singing, dancing, or doing stand-up comedy with friends and followers, the videos can either be saved privately or shared publicly. For instance, you can create private videos by choosing the “save private” option and these videos are not viewable by any other Musical.ly users.

To help further, the app is embedded with parental guidance and support system to monitor any untoward incident.

Musical.ly app had earlier partnered with Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif starrer film “Jagga Jasoos” in India and held a contest, where winners got a chance to create videos with them.

“Considering the potential in India, we are not only committed to expand our creator base in India but also diversify the content creation on our platform as our audience is highly engaged in it. We look forward to work with the creators and partners who share the same passion and energy,” Eric Zhou, Head of Global Operations for musical.ly.

Launched in 2014, the company claims to have over 240 million registered users globally, who share more than 15 million new “musical.lys” each day. The app already has over 8 million organic users in India, has a Creator Incubation Program that helps upcoming talent to grow.

It has partnered with MTV, NBCU, and Seventeen Magazine to launch original shows on the app. It also added Apple Music integration, which allows Apple’s music streaming service to listen to full songs on its platform.
